The dimensions of a corrugated box are usually measured from the inside of the box and are expressed as the closed length x width x height.
Case Dimensions
Accurate inside dimensions must be determined to ensure a proper fit for the product being packed. For packaging machinery such as case erectors, case sealer, bag inserters and for palletizing or shipping the outside dimensions are more important. Always specify if the dimensions you are providing for your application are inside or outside dimensions, because the difference can be significant!
